President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on an official visit to the Netherlands and attend a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Saudi Arabia, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

On Tuesday, April 23, Tinubu will depart Abuja for the Netherlands on an official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte. While in the Netherlands, the President will engage in high-level discussions with the Prime Minister and hold separate meetings with His Royal Majesty, King Willem-Alexander, and Queen Maxima of the Kingdom.

The Queen is the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

During his visit, Tinubu will participate in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum, which aims to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnerships between Nigerian and Dutch businesses, particularly in agriculture and water management.

The President will also engage in discussions with Dutch officials on port management operations, an area where the Netherlands has world-renowned expertise.

After his engagements in the Netherlands, Tinubu will proceed to attend a special WEF meeting scheduled for April 28-29 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The meeting, which focuses on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development, will bring together over 1,000 leaders from business, government, and academia. The President and his entourage will use the opportunity to engage in discussions that further his Renewed Hope Agenda for the country.

Tinubu’s visit to the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia is seen as a significant step towards promoting economic growth and development in Nigeria.

The visit is expected to yield significant benefits particularly in the areas of agriculture, water management, and port management operations.
